Ran track this year, it consisted of about 5 workouts and 3 races at my school. 2:56 800m time I think, I only was able to race twice. Wish I would have know a lot more about running.
Sophomore Year:
XC Season:
-I got flyer at a Jr.High track meet to do XC and wanted to start high school off with great friends, so I joined and thought it was so weird all these people ran so far everyday, then I became one of those people, and know I love it. I will try to get some of my times in here.
Indoor 2015 Soph Season:
Decided to keep running but didn't get in alot of mileage like I would have liked to since it was always cold. Ran an 2:35 800m and a 5:55 mile at Simplot.
Outdoor 2015 Soph Season:
Currently have been having a strong season.
5:35 Mile @ Davis District Championships, working to get that time down to 5:20, and then really hoping to work down to 5:15.

Short-Term Running Goals: Rest of Soph Outdoor Season:
With consistent intervals at a 76/7 my coach wants my mile down to 5:20 at the end of the season. I only hope to do better than that, and to try out a few 3200's.
Junior:
XC: I hope to have great training and do well in all my local races, and I hope to compete at foot locker and the goal is to be in the top 10. Compete at state as well
Senior:
XC: First at state, First at Foot Locker Regionals and 10th at nationals
Track: 1st in mile or 3200 at simplot. 1st at state.
Long-Term Running Goals: Break 4 in the mile

If I don't make the goals or be the first I am ok with that, I know that I will always do my best, and I will never give up, no matter the time, or how I place. |

| | 4 Mile slow recovery, we had fun and took it easy but got recovered. We had to do strides after, my leg was killing me but I did them anyway, talked to my coach and we decided I just needed to ice it. Did a long stretch, rolled out, and iced. Felt good for a while but woke me up in the night, don't know what's wrong. I have a meet tomorrow.

WX Tri Meet 2015 (0.994 Miles) 00:05:48 | | This was our first meet of the season. I had done a hill circuit the past Friday and nailed it, then 76-77 solid intervals Monday, and recovery on Tuesday my legs were killing me. Discovered it was a shin splint. Raced anyways since the coach I talked to said it wouldn't hurt me to race on it. I was also got to do a 4x400 but my coach had me not do it which I think was good.
Did a mile warm up, race was a mile, and a mile cool down. Then lots of stretching and icing. Still got a PR in the mile though, 5:48, compared to 5:55 at simplot games just two weeks before.28 seconds less will be the goal for the season.

| | Did our hill circuit today. Pace was probably too slow, everyone had track class and did it then or they had to do time trials, or some ditched too. So it was hard to pace not being with anyone else. However it felt good until the end walking down the hills and then running back to our school, that really killed. Did a long stretch and iced. Hopefully it will get better.

| | We were supposed to do and LSD but I took the day off. My shin and ankle and knee is killing me. Decided to rest today and Sunday so I will hopefully do better in intervals on Monday. Not very excited for intervals however since when I am with my team I'm always way too competitive and so I will usually go out too fast then not be able to finish.

| | Nothing today, like I said on Saturday. However this week my attitude will be getting my time down not worrying about others. Hopefully it will go well. There are only 4 kids my age faster than me on my team, and it gets to me everyday that I run with them. One of them ran a 5:09 this week and I did 5:48, yes this drives me crazy,really hoping I can crush their times sometime soon. It really gets me down when there the same age but they are faster than me, I work just as hard, I should be that fast too right??? Shoutout to 2 kids from my team for going to NBNI. Both did amazing in the 2 mile and it was so cool to watch them.

| | Wow. How do I even start off with the workout I had today? It was terrible. I had drank a ton of water yesterday and hydrated properly, and did the same today but I felt so dehydrated. It was not a good day to start, when I went to warm up the track was blazing hot, and it only got worse from there. We were doing 6-8x400, The first four went well, I was in pain but I was ok, then we had a break, then I did my 5th and it was slow like 80 second slow, and I was done. My coach wasn't there so I didn't really force myself to do anymore, but on top of that my shin and knee and thigh were hurting so bad. So yeah today was terrible, 5 intervals 80,79,73,76,80. Last weeks intervals were so good and today sucked so that was a huge let down. Overall terrible day

| | We had a fartlek today, I tried to do that, but got out and didn't have any energy and my leg was hurting a little too. So instead of doing the paces we were supposed to be I ended up at a very slow recovery pace. Overall it was a bad day.

| | So we have a pineview meet coming up and I didn't make the list, I guess the thing is that soe of the kids that are just a bit faster than me that are going miss a lot of practices and stuff and I never miss practice so to be honest I'm not very happy, not that I would have even had time to go, just seeing someone elses name over mine kinda sucks, it makes me feel like times are the only thing to the coaches not anything else. I have a meet this Wednesday but other than that nothing, so hopefully it goes well, intervals are tomorrow I hope they go well too.
