Freshman Year:

Ran track this year, it consisted of about 5 workouts and 3 races at my school. 2:56 800m time I think, I only was able to race twice. Wish I would have know a lot more about running.

Sophomore Year:

XC Season:

-I got  flyer at a Jr.High track meet to do XC and wanted to start high school off with great friends, so I joined and thought it was so weird all these people ran so far everyday, then I became one of those people, and know I love it. I will try to get some of my times in here.

Indoor 2015 Soph Season: 

Decided to keep running but didn't get in alot of mileage like I would have liked to since it was always cold. Ran an 2:35 800m and a 5:55 mile at Simplot.

Outdoor 2015 Soph Season:

Currently have been having a strong season.

5:35 Mile @ Davis District Championships, working to get that time down to 5:20, and then really hoping to work down to 5:15.

With consistent intervals at a 76/7 my coach wants my mile down to 5:20 at the end of the season. I only hope to do better than that, and to try out a few 3200's.

Junior:

XC: I hope to have great training and do well in all my local races, and I hope to compete at foot locker and the goal is to be in the top 10. Compete at state as well

Senior:

XC: First at state, First at Foot Locker Regionals and 10th at nationals

Track: 1st in mile or 3200 at simplot. 1st at state.

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Break 4 in the mile

9:30 3200

Run at college

Eventually run marathons

No matter the time, never stop running

Personal:

All the goals above when you see my PR's may look funny, but with proper training and giving it my all I know I can do anything I want. If I don't make the goals or be the first I am ok with that, I know that I will always do my best, and I will never give up, no matter the time, or how I place.

800 intervals today. 2:56, 2:56, 3:04. Decided I wasn't doing anymore since I had a really bad stomach  bug and this was just the start of it. Then I did one last 400, 76 seconds. A cool down around the field.

Happy Easter to all! No running today. BUT, I am starting new goals and I know I can acheive them through doing all I know that I need to do. So starting this week, I am looking at running with the most positive attitude I can. Sure I am destine to have some bad days but I am atleast trying to be better that's better than all of you who aren't. I am doing MY BEST, forget the team in this aspect, I get too competitive for my own good. I AM however going to start encouraging my team mates more and bein happy for them and their success instead of booing them and putting them down, when really deep down I am just jealous and sad that I am not as fast as them . Some of you reading this may think I am a bad person, or runner. But I am trying and I am making goalz. Not just quitting or being a bad team mate. I'm doing this for me, and my team. I know I and my team can be better, even though my team may not be very nice to me, I will still encourage them and treat them how I would want to be treated and maybe they will be able to recipricate as well. I am going to be doing strength training as well, and trying to eat better and hydrate, and on top of that I want to do more research and studying of running so I can understand more, and be able to help my team mates that are even a little bit slower than me and try to get them to reach their full potential. Here it goes, April may be a good month, atleast I hope, like I said, I will have bad days, I already know that, but I am testing this out and seeing where I can go. 1/2 mile warmup, 8x400 intervals 83,81,81,81,79,81,81,73. 1/2 mile cool down, and long stretch. Today went absolutely great, no core or weights today because I did them yesterday. Super excited to recover tomorrow.

We were supposed to have a meet today but it got canceled due to bad weather. So instead we did pacework, we did a 400m warmup, 400m @ mile pace, 600m @ mile pace, 1000 of on and off 200's @ mile pace, and 2 200m's @ 800 pace. I was on time for a 5:25 mile and I did 31/38 on my 800m pacework. Then we all did 1 mile cool down, we didn't get in a lot of mileage but it was very wet and rainy so we took it easy.

Well it has been a good week. I've been positive and happy everyday with a couple of downs here and there but 95 percent of the time was great which is better than ever! I had good solid workouts everyday this week. When we do intervals I go in the second group and am usually leading the pack, I actually was in front the whole time last Monday so that was good. It makes me feel like a great runner and so positive. It was a really great week. This week we have a meet on Wendesday, I think I'm doing the 800m, not my favorite race but I understand I need to do it to get more speed for my mile to get my time down, and I actually am glad my coach told me that because I needed to hear it, I have been on a strand of PR's in the mile 5:55 to 5:48 to 5:35.. and I need to start working on the speed to continue getting PR's because if I don't like my coach said I will probably be super mad. He might put me in the 3200m though, sometimes I doubt I could even do it, but I know I can it's just 2 miles it should be nothing more than a mile and a mile. So I think it may be cool to try it and start getting my time down on that as well. Then we also have our WX Invite on Friday, I don't know if I am competing since I have driving group from 4-5:30 that day and we also have certain amounts of spaces, I assume if I am racing it will be in a relay which would still be cool. I'm going to get some new running shoes soon, I talked with one of the fastest kids in the U.S. and they have been so helpful and positive for me to talk to!!! So thanks to that person, you probably know who it is. I have driving everyday this week.. so somedays I will be running on my own which will be sad but I will do good. Overall I am so excited!!! This week can be so great. The main goal this week is to push out the doubts on race days. I am faster than a kid named nathan and a couple other kids in intervals and in practice, I actually did better than a kid named Caden last week,  but they beat me in races... Why?? Im trying to figure it out, I think I dont push hard enough and tell myself I can't go faster or I won't finish and stuff like that.. even when I know I have the training and stamina to do it. So that's the goal this week is to do better racing! It will be a process but it starts tomorrow. I am so pumped for this week! Oh and hey mile I'm going to get a 5:15 in you or better this year! I wont settle with 5:20. Shoutout to the Arcadia runners also.. so amazing to watch the fastest of the fast and see them compete and learn new racing strategies. My team went there too which is so cool! Everyone who reads this have a great week and push out all your doubts!

I had driving group so I didn't get in a mile warmup like I would have liked to and so my coach had me going straight into dynamic. Then 5x400 75,79,75,76,80. Then 2x200. 35,36. On pace right where I need to be for the day which was awesome. .75 mile cool down with a team mate. It was hard to pace perfectly today becuase everyone had already had class and so there were like 10 kids doing after school intervals 5 girls, 2 other boys my pace and a couple of others behind me. It felt great though, and if I keep that 80 seconds on the 1600 it will e 5:25. Oh and I am also in the mile on Wednesday... Yeah I'm scared. I want that pr again. Also did abs later in the night and a long stretch.

Hey kids, today was a recovery. And by recovery I mean going really slow and closing my eyes the whole time. There was a massive windstorm that blew dust and particles all over, I just got done washing my eyes since they really hurt. So me and my group decided to do a short lil run while other went all the way to NSL Post Office... haha suckers. We did Griffins Loop Unextended and reversed, you may think I'm funny for wanting less mileage but trust me if you were out there you would agree with me. So that was 15 minutes, then 4 strides at mile pace. Then I rolled out and did a long stretch and went to driving group. Crazy day.. oh and I got this cool ribbon for PB'ing in my 1600 so that encouraged me to work harder. We have a MEET tomorrow and I am very excited... I want that PR. It's right in my hands!!! But...... it's going to be either A.) Very COLD or B.) Very SNOWY!!! Yes three meets in a row with bad weather.:( But let's hope we can race and I can kill it and get that 5:20 and scare my coach by going so fast. Oh... one last thing for today, I am in the two mile on Friday at our invite. When coach told me I was like freaking out, why would I ever run  in an invite I'm not that fast.. he told me I could stay with the colemans.. can I really??? I think I don't want to do it because I will be last from our school and that will suck and make me sad... Any opinions? Thanks. Have fun racing tomorrow or just running

We were supposed to have a meet today but then it snowed and it got canceled. Our coaches say it's resechduled for tomorrow but it's honestly been snowing all day so I think that it might not happen.. who knows. Anyways recovery today outside it was freezing and then strides on the snow filled track. I am supposed to be in the mile tomorrow but I have driving groups I can't miss since it's freeway day tomorrow, anyways I have to probably run in the 800m tomorrow and then the 2 mile on Friday. So we will see, if I do race tomorrow, hopefully it will go well.

Warmup, dynamic, then we did 7x400 intervals, 83,81,79,81,79,76,75. The intervals went super well all was on time and I felt super good about them. Then a nice cool down and a long stretch. It was a great day for some running:)

Nice on pace and comfortable recovery run today. I had my driving test first which I passed, then I went on a run by myself after and it felt great. Then did some strides and a long stretch. I have a meet tomorrow and I will run the 1600, and the 4x400. On  Thursday we host a JR. High meet and I am a flag official for the relays, you bet I will be very strict and make those little kids feel scared like I do when I race.. sorry but someone has to be mean. Also I really want to be the gun shooter/starter.. does anyone else think thats the best possible thing?? I do. Anyways we are going to get 5:35 or better tomorrow I hope!!! I will let you know.

Mile race today, only with one other school though so not tons of competition. Seriously it was like at WX in the mile I was in, like 4 highland kids it was pretty awesome to see how lucky I am to be on such a great team that is so big and dominating. However my mile.. wow I was shooting for 5:25 and that was no where close. I was really mad but even though I had a bad race I took a lot away from it. My coach first of all made me realize good races don't always happen, also he let me know I need to be more competitive and that I got out too slow. Then what I learned is DONT RUN WITH A WATCH IN A RACE!!!!!!!! You may think your going to PR, but your not. I let so many people go by it was pathetic so please, if your reading this, don't run with a watch!

Then I did a 4x400 which was freaking awesome and I think I did really good! I don't know my time yet but I will post it once I find out. Then a lot of cool down and stuff.

We hosted a Jr. High meet today,  and I helped out all night with that, I LOVE HELPING! It's so much fun in my opinion. But I didn't run today. My coach told me to do jsut 10 minutes but yes I was that lazy and tired that I didn't so shame on me.

I didn't run today guys... I had to go to my brothers baseball game. If I would have gone back to school after lunch and practiced then I wouldn't have had a ride home so I didn't go. Bad excuse I know but yeah it just happens. I need a car.

Intervals today. Yee-ha. I had to do them after school since I don't have class, but it's really hard since there isn't that many people, and we went in two groups for a little bit, and this kid named Spencer was leading our second group and well I dind't like it a lot since I kinda like to lead my second group when I run, it makes me feel fast so I do better, but I still did SO GOOD in my opinion today. The times were 79,75,73,79,,77,75. Then a cool down and long stretch. I talked to coach today, he said they were a bit too fast for this point in the season, and said be a bit more conservitive next week to not overdo it. I think maybe I went faster because of taking a break the end of last week. Anyways race on Wednesday, and I talked to coach about it and he will for sure be watching me closely now, so I need do well!!!

Awesome race today. I have been feeling a bit under this week, but I pulled through! I had a little snack about 2 hours before my race and I am glad I did, then at about 4:50 I was behind so I went and did and 5 min warm up, then I went and did dynamic and raced. My coach and I had been talking this week and he said I need to try more in races and put myself out there and see where I can go if I want the PR's. So I did, and I have been beating this kid in intervals every time lately and I have been mad that he has beat me in races, so I beat him in my 800m. My last time was 2:35 and today was 2:26! Then I went a did a 5 minute jog, came back and did dynamic again, then did a 4x400, and I was in the same order with the same kid, and he got a pretty decent 80m ahead and then a Kearns kid got ahead of us also, and when I took over the baton, I went out and blew past both of them, I feel like I really turned the jets on, and we ended up getting 3rd!. It was probably the best track meet of my life! So much fun! My coach was very happy with me, after that I did a mile cool down and a long stretch. It was awesome.

We were hosting a Jr. High meet today so we weren't having an official team workout only for those going to BYU. So basically no one worked out today except me and the others going to BYU, but I have release time 4th hour, so I went out on a recovery by myself it was really fun and relaxing. Then I came back and did a long stretch, and helped with the meet the whole night and then our coach bought us pizza!!! It was really good, and then I also got my warm ups! They got done so fast it was awesome!
